Late for Spanish SII? Here is the interim solution

Marosa developed a solution to comply with the Spanish SII during those first weeks of July in which your ERP system is not yet ready.

An interim solution for the Spanish SII

Despite announcements to postpone the deadline, the authorities decided to keep 1 July as the only due date for businesses to start reporting automatic data from their systems to the tax authorities´ database. Many companies need to coordinate diverse teams in different countries, hence increasing the length of this project and requiring longer time to implement changes.

What is it about?

At Marosa we developed an interim solution for all those businesses that do not expect to meet the 1 July deadline. We will provide you with a simple EXCEL template that your team will complete with your invoice listings and will send back to us for submission. Typically, the template will be completed with automatic data and manual input from the person handling VAT returns. We will get this table on a weekly basis and we will convert it into a CSV and upload it into the platform in charge of final submission. We call it the Friday project.

For how long?

You  can use the Friday project for as long as you need to until your systems are ready to send data using the initially planned process, whether that process is the SAP add-on, a third party platform provider or direct submissions from your ERP. Therefore, Marosa will offer help during the short period of time in which your systems are not yet ready.

Next steps

Please send us an email to receive this template so your team can start evaluating the work required to complete the table. We should also organize a conference call to explain the steps, timeline and overall project. We may also speak to your IT team to explain the content of each data field.

In case you have not yet taken important steps such as master data validations, review of your finance processes and ERP data completeness, please contact us so we can evaluate the most urgent actions required.
