Greece extends the temporary reduced rates applicable to certain services until December 2023.

The VAT rate was reduced to 13% on non-alcoholic drinks, imports of works of art and supplies of works of art, passenger transport, gyms and dance schools, and tickets for zoos.

The VAT rate was reduced to 6% on personal hygiene and protection products, such as face masks, antiseptics, etc., as well as some services such as theatre and concert tickets and cinema.

The measure aims to support businesses and promote consumption, in an effort to counterbalance the impact of inflation and economic crisis resulting from the COVID pandemic and the energy crisis. See here the official notice.
