VAT rate changes in Kosovo and a new registration threshold

Last September, Kosovo increased the standard VAT rate from 16% to 18%. A reduced rate of 8% applies on water, utilities, and a range of foodstuff.

The registration threshold was reduced from 50,000€ to 30,000€. These thresholds allow small established companies to reduce their administrative costs. They are not applicable for non-established businesses.
